Getting started

The party was contacted via an anonymous letter to kill a merchant who was new in town. After spending a few hours (and a few coins) in the nearest tavern the party discovers that the “merchant” has brought a large force of guards with him, and has managed to secure two squads of the local militia. In addition, he is holed up in an old abandoned keep to the south. The job seems simple enough, avoid the locals, kill the guards, and finish off the merchant. The party goes go to gather up the remaining members of the party to share the information and head towards the keep. The group is less then a mile from the keep now, and they are ready to fight!
